James Jeffels


Job Role at Cygnet Law

James Jeffels officially joined Cygnet Law as a Paralegal in September 2022. James has gained valuable experience during his tenure at the firm and is an asset to our Family Law department.

While working in our family law sector, James worked on various private cases. James has extensive experience with divorce and separation, financial matters, child arrangements, non-molestation orders, and care proceedings. He has previously gained experience working within public law and conveyancing.

Awards & Qualifications

Following his previous education, James decided to pursue his law degree at Teesside University, where he studied for three years. He later graduated in 2018 with an upper Second-class Bachelor of law degree.

That same year, James was the recipient of the prestigious Thomas Reuters Law Prize.

Currently, James is working towards his solicitor's qualification examination (SQE) so that he can become a solicitor as he prepares to further his career in the law sector.

James' Interests

When James isn't working hard or studying towards his exam, he has a plan- and a long list of activities on his itinerary. James has many hobbies, including hiking, running and paddle-boarding.

James is also a huge fan of airsoft, a team-based shooting game where he participates as a player, and other times, he volunteers as a Marshal.
