Cancer Research Free Wills Service

As this is a cause that is considerably close to our hearts here at Cygnet Law, we continue to partner with and support Cancer Research UK through their free will scheme.

This service allows anyone who is over the age of 18 to write or update their wills - for free!

Cancer Research

Understanding the Free Will Scheme

Under this scheme, Cancer Research UK will pay for its supporters to create a 'simple' will, mirror will, single codicil, or a mirror codicil. This helps the charity drive income from gifts in wills by removing the need for supporters to pay for their wills.

To use this scheme, you must agree/meet several criteria, terms, and conditions. This includes being aged 18 or over, and consenting to providing your solicitors with your personal information, which will then be sent off to Cancer Research UK.

Additionally, it is important to note that you aren't obligated to leave a gift to the charity, and you will be limited to three will-writing consultations under this scheme; this includes new wills and edits to existing ones.
