Here at Cygnet Law, we want all clients to feel that they are receiving the best possible support. We are dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for people with dementia and there are multiple things that we can do to help them when they are seeking legal advice. We are proud to be part of the Alzheimer Society‘s Dementia Friends initiative.

The Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is an initiative which is working to change people’s perceptions of dementia, to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition. Our team here at Cygnet Law has undergone specialist training and we continue to learn and make adjustments to how we deliver legal services to help those with the condition.

This includes making sure our solicitors are dementia-aware, introducing clearer signage and producing dementia-friendly literature.

Being diagnosed with dementia doesn’t mean that you can no longer make your own decisions. However, you may wish to talk to us about putting in place a Lasting Power of Attorney. An LPA lets you choose a trusted person to help manage your affairs if dementia prevents you from doing so in the future.
