About Dementia Friends

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.

Whether you attend a face-to-face Information Session or watch the online video, Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends programme to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts. Our team has taken training and continues to learn and make adjustments to how we deliver legal services to help those with the condition.

Cygnet Law’s Elf Day

As new members of the Dementia Friends initiative, the staff at Cygnet Law are eager to start fundraising. Cygnet Law is taking part in the Alzheimer’s society’s Elf Day on the 8th December.

As highlighted by the Alzheimer’s Society, the Christmas period can be a particularly difficult time for people affected by dementia and also their families. Fundraising plays a vital role in allowing the Alzheimer’s Society to help and support people impacted by Dementia which is why the staff at Cygnet Law are keen to play our part in being active dementia friends!

On Thursday 8th December, staff at Cygnet law will be encouraged to take part in festive games, baking and raffles all in the aim of raising money for the Alzheimer’s society.
