Jessica Soulsby

Job Role

Jessica Soulsby joined the Cygnet Law team in May 2023 as a Legal Secretary whilst she continued to study towards her Level 3 Cilex qualification to become a Paralegal.

During this time, Jessica progressed through the firm and became a Trainee Legal Executive, owing to her attention to detail and legal drafting skills.

Jessica has attended multiple court hearings, most recently attending a three-week criminal trial on behalf of a Children's Guardian. She previously assisted a parent in a case with notable issues involving fabricated and induced illness.

Jessica often assists senior fee earners in representing the local authority in public proceedings. However, she also assists parents and legal guardians with various issues.

Awards & Qualifications

Jessica completed her A-Levels in 2020, achieving an ABB in Law, Psychology, and Sociology. Jessica began her Cilex Level 3 course in November 2021. She earned a distinction across her family law and practice exam and her interview in December 2023.

Jessica is currently training towards her Level 7 Chartered Legal Executive, Litigator, and Advocate Qualification, which she began in January 2024. She looks forward to progressing further through the firm.

Jessica's Interests

When she isn't hard at work in the office, Jessica loves to watch sports – especially Formula One and football. Jessica also likes to cook, often providing the office with meal prep inspiration, and will attempt to motivate the rest of the team to come for a gym session now and again.
