Ann Charlton Lodge in Eden Hall Grove, Redcar is a non-profit residential care home providing care for residents with multiple sclerosis or nervous system conditions. The Lodge was founded by the late Ann Charlton, herself a long time sufferer of MS and was opened in 1992 following a four year fundraising campaign, supported by the public and local businesses.

Cygnet Law have recently given the Lodge a gift to cover the costs of two new made to measure slings per resident. These slings are necessary equipment enabling the transferring of users between positions or places, such as from standing to sitting or from chair to bed.

Staff from Cygnet Law visited the Lodge to hand the cheque to residents, Alex and Kev. Sarah Jemson, Manager of Ann Charlton Lodge stated, “this is fantastic and much appreciated. It will greatly improve the safety and daily lives of the residents”.

Peter Medd from Cygnet Law stated, “Cygnet Law works closely with a number of charities in the local area and upon hearing that the Lodge required new slings for the residents the Directors were keen to assist and provide a donation in order to ensure that the residents were not without such valuable pieces of equipment”.
